Findlay Brewing celebrates Ten-Year Milestone

Almost fifty years after International Breweries, Inc. known for Old Dutch beer closed its doors in 1966, the silence of the craft beer scene in Findlay, Ohio was disrupted. From homebrewing on a kitchen stove, then in the garage, a small group of Findlay folks dreamed for more and officially opened Findlay Brewing Company on North Main Street in July of 2013. Ten years later, the brewery continues in its expanded brewery and taproom on East Crawford Street in downtown Findlay and distributes its brews within and surrounding Northwest Ohio.

Findlay Brewing Company will host its tenth anniversary celebration at 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Saturday, August 5 at its taproom located at 213 E. Crawford Street. Anniversary X Gose, a new watermelon Gose designed and brewed by the brewery’s five co-owners will be released for dine in and takeout. The celebratory brew will be tapped alongside a variety fan favorites, new and old. Findlay Brewing Company will have a limited food menu available, and all seating will be first come, first served.

Live music throughout the day will feature local entertainers including Ryan Parker, Eddie Molina, Ryan Hensley and Susan Bright, and James Adkins. Guests can enter to win give-a-ways, purchase exclusive 10 Year Anniversary merchandise and enjoy a complementary dessert.

For some extra fun, visitors can help dunk the brave co-owners, team members, media and friends of the brewery in the dunk tank for $1 per throw. Proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization meaningfully selected by the brewery co-owners.

Additional festivities taking place include a Tap Takeover at Logan’s Irish Pub at 5-10 p.m. Monday, July 24; Taproom Yoga at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29; Sunday Funday with Post Board Gaming at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 30; and ArtWalk at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.
