Earnest Brew Works Partners with Toledo Zoo for Sturgeon Release

Toledo brewery earnest brew works (ebw) and the Toledo Zoo have announced both will be releasing Sturgeons on Saturday, October 2.This weekend, while the Toledo Zoo will be releasing thousands of Sturgeon into the Maumee River at Walbridge Park as a part of the Zoo’s annual conservation program, the local brewery will also release a Sturgeon of its own as Sturgeon IPA will make its debut.

Starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, ebw will release four-packs of 16-ounce cans of Sturgeon IPA, a 7.4% ABV Hazy IPA with Citra, Mosaic and Sabro hops, at both the South Toledo and downtown locations.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Toledo Zoo to protect and save wildlife. Sales will be limited to two four-packs per person.“Earnest Brew Works believes in conservation and the repopulation of the Sturgeon is a worthy cause,” said co-founder Scot Yarnell. “Besides making a donation from each can that is purchased, we also will sponsor a Sturgeon for each person that works at ebw.”
