Allagash Brewing announced recently it received its recertification as a B Corporation, earning an overall Impact Score of 104.0, which represents a more than 20-point jump from when it received its first certification in 2019. Allagash has also created a full-time Sustainability Manager position in 2022. Zoe Malia filled that role and Brewer’s Jon Sicotte caught up with Zoe recently to chat about the bump in B Corp scoring; the resources and time it takes to get B Corp certified; and what a brewery any size can do to work at being more sustainable.
