Braxton Teams with Graeter’s Ice Cream For Key Lime Pie Release

Braxton Brewing Co., a local brewery with national recognition, and Graeter’s Ice Cream, family owned craft ice cream maker since 1870, have teamed up once again to create another one-of-a-kind mashup. Key Lime Pie Ale is a marriage between Graeter’s seasonal – and fan-favored – Key Lime Pie Ice Cream and Braxton’s expertly brewed ale. Shoppers will be able to find the ale in a four-pack at fine retailers in Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville and Lexington at an SRP of $9.99, as well as at Braxton’s Taproom, beginning May 21st. At the same time, Graeter’s is reintroducing its seasonal Key Lime Pie ice cream by the pint in scoop shops, online and in select retailers beginning Memorial Day weekend.

Graeter’s Key Lime Pie ice cream is made with a rich ice cream base, flavored with real key lime juice and crunchy graham crust pieces, bringing a refreshing key lime pie taste to the decadence for which Graeter’s is known. Similarly, Braxton Brewing Co.’s Graeter’s Key Lime Pie Ale is brewed with vanilla beans, cinnamon, lactose and key lime zest to create a balance between sweet and tart that mimics the taste of Graeter’s classic summer ice cream flavor.

“We continue to watch our partnership with Braxton evolve, and it’s really very exciting,” shares Chip Graeter, fourth-generation owner of Graeter’s Ice Cream. “We’re reaching new consumers, helping a new generation to taste and fall in love with French Pot-made ice cream, and it’s stretching our creative approach to fan favorites, overall.”

“After the fanfare we received from the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout, we immediately knew we would continue our friendship and partnership with the Graeter’s team,” shares Jake Rouse, co-founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing. “The Key Lime Pie Ale collaboration has been a long time coming, and we’re excited to give craft beer drinkers a completely new experience to enjoy summer.”

Braxton Brewing Co. will also host a weekend release party in the Taproom in Covington, spanning from Friday morning, May 24 to Sunday evening, May 26. Guests will be able to experience a tropical themed Taproom and donut popup shop by Graeter’s Ice Cream, as the Tapping and Can Release of Graeter’s Key Lime Pie Ale is celebrated.
