Seattle Cider Company is thrilled to announce the launch of Ripe Plum, the newest addition to the VIVID Light Cider brand family. Crafted with fresh-pressed Washington apples and vibrant plum juice from locally sourced fruit, Ripe Plum is a refreshing and flavorful cider that embodies the spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

VIVID Light Ciders are known for their bold flavors despite boasting a notably lighter 4.2% ABV. Ripe Plum balances the crispness of Washington apples with the sweet, tangy complexity of sun-ripened plums, delivering a unique taste profile that’s full of character and easy to drink.

“The response to our VIVID Light Cider brand family has been incredible as more drinkers seek out options that are lower in ABV and crafted with consciously sourced ingredients,” said Felix Madrid, General Manager at Seattle Cider Company. “We’re excited to add Ripe Plum to the lineup, bringing a new bold yet balanced flavor for cider drinkers to enjoy.”

Plum as a flavor is having a moment, gaining popularity for its deep, rich taste and versatility. But it also has a timeless quality that gives it real staying power. “By pairing fresh, local, plum juice with Washington apples, Seattle Cider Company has created a cider that feels both on-trend and classic, ensuring it will remain a favorite for seasons to come,” shares Scott Katsma, Brand Development Manager.

Ripe Plum (4.2% ABV) will be available starting March 2025 in 12oz cans and on draft at select retailers and establishments across Washington and beyond. Fans can also find it at the Seattle Cider Taproom (4660 Ohio Ave S. Seattle, WA 98134) in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood for a release party on Thursday, March 6. The release event will feature Ripe Plum on draft and packaged to go, cider cocktails, and local food trucks.
