The Sunshine-makers at Lawson’s Finest Liquids are celebrating GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to radical generosity, by donating $75,000 to 54 nonprofit organizations through its Sip of Support program. This year’s giving will support a range of causes across Vermont with donations of up to $5,000 to organizations focusing on community health, recreation, senior services and much more.
“As a purpose-driven company, giving back to our community is central to our mission. On GivingTuesday, we are proud to support the impact of Vermont nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in our home state,” says Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ Social Impact Program (SIP) Manager Carra Cheslin. Among the beneficiaries of this year’s GivingTuesday donations are Hannah’s House, Mad River Path, Just Basics, Inc., Steps to End Domestic Violence and many more. The B Corp Certified brewery is also proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Sunshine Fund. Along with Sip of Support, the Sunshine Fund is one of Lawson’s Finest’s five Social Impact Program (SIP) initiatives. Through the SIP, the brewery builds impactful connections and strengthens community while creating memorable experiences.
Because the staff members at Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ Waitsfield destination taproom receive a living wage and generous compensation package, Lawson’s Finest invites guests to donate to the Sunshine Fund. In lieu of tipping, donations to the Sunshine Fund support local nonprofits and charitable organizations. Each Sunshine Fund recipient becomes a temporary “on-tap” partner for two weeks, receiving 100 percent of donations during that designated time. Organizations chosen to be among the 2025 Sunshine Fund recipients include Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity, Waterbury Common Market, Cancer Patient Support Foundation, Kidsafe Collaborative and more. “Vermont is rooted in community efforts, neighbors helping one another and resiliency. With so much good being done and many more needs to be addressed, we are delighted to support these charitable efforts across a wide range of causes,” said Lawson’s Finest CEO Adeline Druart. “The simple act of enjoying a beer and leaving a dollar for the Sunshine Fund is engaging our guests and neighbors which then can help people in your community, and we believe that these small efforts can result in meaningful impact.”
The Lawson’s Finest team, who bring your favorite IPAs like Sip of Sunshine to life, encourages individuals to be the sunshine in their own communities and participate in GivingTuesday, whether that means contributing to the Sunshine Fund in the taproom, volunteering, making a monetary donation to a local cause, promoting awareness or supporting a local business.
