Jackalope Brewing Company and the Nashville Predators have teamed up to brew a new beer in honor of the Predators 25th Anniversary season. The Kolsch-style ale simply named “Preds Beer” is going to be available starting at the team’s home opener at Bridgestone Arena, on October 12th.
“When we were developing the brew, we thought about all the time we’ve spent in the seats at Bridgestone cheering on the Preds, and what the perfect beer would be in that moment,” said Bailey Spaulding, CEO and Co-Founder of Jackalope. “We wanted to brew something that Preds fans of all kinds could enjoy together.”
Kolsch beers are known for being crisp and drinkable, with subtle fruity notes as well.
“We have always been in awe of the Predators’ commitment to putting a quality team on the ice while also being true partners in the community, so getting to be a part of celebrating their 25th Anniversary is incredibly exciting,” said Steve Wright, Jackalope’s President, “we also have always been a proud supporter of the Predators Foundation.”
In fact, the idea for Preds Beer came about this summer, at a party at Jackalope’s taproom that benefitted the Preds Foundation, when the topic of the milestone season arose.
The Preds Foundation is devoted to using its platform and influence from its affiliation with professional sports to serve the needs of the community by offering unique resources and financial support to local youth-oriented organizations. Since its inception in 1998, the Predators Foundation has awarded over $8 million in grants to the greater Nashville community.
Preds Beer will be available at Bridgestone Arena as well as Jackalope’s Taproom starting on Thursday, October 12th, and then at additional retailers as the season continues.
