Tempe’s hometown brewery, Huss Brewing Co., is soon to become the official craft beer partner of Sun Devil Athletics, with the partnership kicking off on July 1, just in time for football season.

As part of this exciting collaboration, Huss Brewing Co. will unveil a Huss-branded, air conditioned space inside Mountain America Stadium: the Huss Hideout. This craft beer destination will offer fans a lineup of locally brewed favorites and seasonal selections, along with other brands.

In celebration of the partnership, Huss is also debuting Devil’s Halo Lager, the new official craft beer of Sun Devil Athletics. Now available, Devil’s Halo Lager will be poured at all Sun Devil Athletics events and distributed to bars, restaurants, and retail locations across the Valley. Proceeds will benefit the Sun Angel Collective and its efforts to support ASU student-athletes.

The Sun Angel Collective raises funds and creates opportunities related to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights, with the aim to support and empower student-athletes at ASU. The organization provides resources and assistance to student-athletes that allows them to leverage their personal brands and ultimately profit from endorsement deals, sponsorships and other NIL opportunities.

“As a proud Arizona-born brewery, we’re beyond excited to partner with Sun Devil Athletics and bring our beers to the heart of the action,” said Leah Huss, co-owner of Huss Brewing Co. “Devil’s Halo Lager was brewed to capture the energy and spirit of Sun Devil Nation; it’s crisp, refreshing, and perfect for game day. We can’t wait to welcome fans to the new Huss Hideout this fall.”

Crafted for the devilish days of Arizona summer, Devil’s Halo Lager is a classic German-style Lager that’s crisp, smooth, and refreshingly balanced. At 4.8% ABV, this easy-drinking brew delivers a subtle sweetness and clean finish, perfect for tailgates, touchdowns, and toasting to Sun Devil victories all season long.

ASU Athletic Director, Graham Rossini added, “We’re excited to team up with Huss Brewing Co.—a hometown success story that shares our deep roots in the Valley and passion for building community,” said Graham Rossini, ASU Athletics Director. “The debut of Devil’s Halo Lager and the new Huss Hideout at Mountain America Stadium are game-changing additions for our fans, offering a first-class experience that’s authentically local. Even better, this partnership directly supports our student-athletes through NIL, helping us strengthen and retain top talent right here in Tempe.”

Proudly founded in Tempe in 2013 and still family-owned by Leah and Jeff Huss, Huss Brewing Co. is the state’s third largest brewery, while The Huss Family of Beers (Huss Brewing Co. and Papago Brewing Co.) has won multiple national awards, including the US Open Beer Championship. Besides its state-of-the-art brewery in South Tempe, Huss also operates the Huss Brewpub Downtown Phoenix.
