Good People Brewing Co., the oldest and largest craft brewery in the state of Alabama, is excited to announce new releases of their sour beer program, The Funk Farm.
Funk Farm is Good People’s program for brewing mixed-fermentation sour ales. Unlike the year-round offerings, beers in the Funk Farm series are fermented with non-traditional microbes and wild yeast to produce a variety of complex flavors.
The following three beers have been added to the Funk Farm series. All three styles were fermented with a blend of lactobacillus, pediococcus and brettanomyces.
- Tart Farmhouse: 6.1% ABV. Farmhouse ale aged in French oak barrels.
- Black Currant & Raspberry Farmhouse Ale. 6.7% ABV. Oak aged farmhouse ale brewed with black currants and raspberries.
- Pink Guava & Passion Fruit Farmhouse Ale. 7% ABV. Oak aged farmhouse ale brewed with pink guava and passion fruit.
“We are very excited about our second Funk Farm bottle release. The complexity of the beers is a function of time so it’s been close to 2 years since our first Funk Farm release. We are really pleased with these 3 unique beers and it’s truly been worth the wait,” Jason Malone, co-founder and Brewmaster, said.
The Funk Farm offerings will be available in 750 mL bottles for $16 each at the brewery only.
