Chuckanut Releases New Czech Dark Lager Collab

Chuckanut Brewery and long-time brewing buddies Austin Beer Garden Brewery (ABGB) brewed a Czech Style Dark Lager CBGB on the 10bbl brew system that was originally installed in Bellingham. This very traditional Czech lager is a smooth, complex beer with dark toasted bread, toffee and chocolate notes. Dark brown in color CBGB lager finishes dry, roasty and clean.

Chuckanut and ABGB have been friends for many years as both breweries met at the GABF where they are known for their well-made, classic lager beers that have won multiple GABF (Great American Beer Festival) and World Beer Cup medals.

Many years ago the two breweries collaborated on a lager in Austin named “Will you Mari me,” a pun on the names of Chuckanut owners/brewmaster and ABGB. That beer was a light-colored lager but this time around the two breweries decided to make something dark and malty.

Chuckanut Czech Style Dark Lager will be available around the NW in draft and cans. It’s a delicious beer to have with roasted pork, chicken with mushroom sauce or any grilled vegetables. It’s also lovely with desserts and chocolates.
