Challenge Cleaner from Madison Chemical is Ideal for CIP Cleaning

Madison Chemical introduces Challenge, a CIP cleaner with a high percentage of available chlorine in a heavy duty-high sequestered formulation which is ideal for food, beverage and dairy cleaning applications. This unique formulation is low foaming even at high concentration and high circulation velocities. It is free rinsing in hard or soft water, leaving a spotless surface. High detergent activity coupled with high available chlorine make Challenge ideal for a wide variety of food and beverage CIP applications including circulation in-place cleaning of equipment lines, in breweries, milk plants, and similar installations. (can we name some specific applications where it is or can be used – lauter tanks, milk storage tanks and silos, etc).

Typically used at .5 to 3% by volume in the recirculation tank, never permitting the available chlorine level to fall below 50 ppm.  Challenge is generally used at temperatures between 120° and 180°F with the exact dilution and temperature determined by the soil loading. Madison Technical Sales Reps are available to assist with SOPs for concentration and temperatures based on actual conditions.

Challenge meets guidelines for use as a general cleaner (A1) in food and beverage processing areas and is safe for use on stainless and ferrous alloys; not recommended for use on aluminum and zinc alloys. Before using Challenge, food products and packaging materials must be removed from the room or carefully protected. After using Challenge, all surfaces must be thoroughly rinsed with potable water.
