Birdsong Brewing has something wild brewed for you!
On September 5, Birdsong will release its new West Coast IPA, Wild Wild West. This IPA features Citra, the usual suspect, alongside the new kid on the block, Elani.
Elani is a new hop discovered growing in the wild and was available for the first time in 2022. Known initially as YQH-1320, Elani comes from Yakima Quality Hops. It has a clean and bright flavor, with notes of tropical fruits, citrus, and stone fruits.
When analyzing the 2022 crop, people noticed pineapple, guava, lime, white peach, and orange zest aromas. It is golden in color and has enough IBUs to tip the scales in the real IPA category.
