Recently launching a first-of-its-kind platform that revolutionizes beer distribution, BevPort just announced that they have become a Bronze Level sponsor of the National Black Brewers Association (NB2A) and members of their business council. The BevPort platform is designed to help small breweries gain visibility and grow their businesses through easier and faster distribution channels. Through this official association with the NB2A, BevPort will assist with advancing the Black brewing community by helping them grow their distribution channels.
“We are thrilled that BevPort has become a Business Council partner,” says Kevin Asato, Executive Director of the National Black Brewers Association. “The partnership helps facilitate our efforts towards increasing Black brewery ownership and addresses one of the barriers to success for many of our brewers…..access. BevPort’s model will access markets, retailers and consumers that have been a challenge to reach for our members.”
“Black and brown people are a highly underserved and unrepresented segment of the craft beer industry,” said Phil Guana, Managing Partner of BevPort. “As a minority-owned company, we’re passionate about supporting other minority-owned businesses, and giving them access to the distribution that they deserve. Our goal is to put more control back into the hands of brewers, creating a more equitable and inclusive industry that, frankly, offers consumers better beer choices, and gives breweries larger profit margins and more opportunities for growth. ”
Launched in March 2023 by NBA Legend and 55th Mayor of Sacramento, Kevin Johnson, the National Black Brewers Association is a 501c6 membership-based non-profit organization governed by a dynamic Board of Directors composed of the most experienced and successful Black brewery owners and brew masters across the country. It was formed to promote, support and advocate for the Black brewing community.
A new three-tier compliant digital distribution portal, BevPort is a cost-effective e-commerce solution to distribution never before seen in the beer industry. Live in Florida first, with plans to grow into key markets across the nation, BevPort provides brewers entry into the state at a 15%-25% cost savings. Removing many of the traditional distribution system’s barriers and limitations, the portal saves brewers time and money, immediately introducing them to 5,000 buying accounts through strategic delivery partners.
BevPort and the National Black Brewers Association will debut their partnership at the upcoming Craft Brewers Conference in Las Vegas, April 21-24. BevPort also has plans to further highlight black brewers on their digital platform.
