Chuckanut Collabs with Von EBert on West Coast Pils, Volatility

Courtesy Chuckanut Brewery

Almost two months ago, Chuckanut Brewery in Washinton State invited Von Ebert Brewing from Oregon to come up and collaborate on a beer together at Chuckanut. After much discussion both breweries decided it would be fun to work on a different rendition of Von Ebert’s well known Volatile Substance IPA but this time as a Pilsner.

Von Ebert brought their own hand selected hops to make this whimsical West Coast Pils fun and interesting. Now that Volatility West Coast Pils is tapped at Chuckanut’s Tap Room it will be tapped in Portland at the Mississippi Ave Von Ebert Brewing June 25 at 5:30pm. Cans of Chuckanut West Coast Pils are available only at selected locations around the Pacific Northwest.

Chuckanut and Von Ebert’s West Coast Pils rendition is brilliantly crisp and bright gold. Using Rahr “To Thee! Pils and Weyermann Barke Vienna malts allows the Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Strata and Spalt hop characteristics to shine. Volatility WC Pils has flavors of citrus, tart berries and subtle pine notes. It’s great paired with citrus marinated chicken or fish which brings out the fruit hop profile in the beer. Find it at Chuckanut Brewery in Skagit County, Von Ebert Brewing in Portland and a few very selected accounts on draft and in cans. Don’t be disappointed, make sure to try it when you can find it!
