Yards, Make the World Better Foundation Team Up to Make an Impact

Yards Brewing has partnered with Connor Barwin and his Make the World Better Foundation to help bring communities together in Philadelphia. The Make the World Better Foundation is dedicated to empowering neighborhoods to connect through building community hubs, safe playgrounds, and gardens for local residents to gather, get to know each other, and enjoy themselves.

To help Make the World Better Foundation continue to make a positive difference in Philly, they’ve crafted a special brew called Make the World Better Beer, with a portion of sales to be donated to the Foundation.

Make the World Better Beer is a well-balanced 5.0 percent ABV Purl-style Ale brewed with rye malt and orange peel.

“When we were thinking about what would make sense for this collaboration, I thought of a Purl right away. It’s not flashy. It’s not another in-your-face IPA. Purl is the working man’s beer. It symbolizes hard work – the kind of hard work that builds strong communities, just like Barwin’s foundation has been doing right here in Philly.” -Tom Kehoe, Yards founder and brewmaster

Make the World Better Beer will make its public debut at Monk’s Café November 5 at a Beer Dinner hosted by Connor Barwin and Jason Kelce, two professional football players with tons of heart for the City of Brotherly Love.
