Fourteen women, plus ten beers, three spirits, and one cider for one month, plus a dedication to raising money for women-focused charities, equals the Women’s Beer and Spirits Collective. With a strong focus in the Milwaukee-area and Madison-area, this Women’s History Month collaboration’s charitable impact continues to grow as it raises awareness of females in the male-dominated craft beer and spirits industry. New for 2025! The collective adds more participants, events, brands, and venues including Milwaukee’s Triple Taproom.
“There are so many charities in Wisconsin that benefit women across the state and we wanted to make sure they get highlighted,” said Julianna Pierandozzi, Sales Representative of 3 Sheeps Brewing Co. and co-founder of the Women’s Beer and Spirits Collective. “It also gave us an opportunity to work with the accounts involved in this fundraising collaboration to see if they had a personal connection to a particular charity.”
Last year the initiative raised almost $20,000 for the Sojourner Peace Center, which has been the main recipient of the donations in prior years. The 2025 Women’s History Month effort will spread monies raised to a wider selection of charities that benefit women including the following recipients: Lotus Legal Fund, Wisconsin Women’s Network, 9to5, Pearls for Teen Girls, Girls on the Run, Sunshine Place, and Reproductive Justin Action Milwaukee.
Now in its fourth year, the support continues to grow from the region’s breweries. The number of companies participating has grown from the inaugural five breweries in 2022 to 14 brands in 2025. New this year, Schilling Cider, Deep Eddy vodka, Guinness, and Earth Rider Brewery are joining the coalition and even more events are slated.
“This unique collaboration of female representatives in the beverage industry, continues to brew interest, evolve and expand,” said Pierandozzi.
With almost 40 events on the horizon spanning from February 28 through March 31, the Women’s Beer and Spirits Collective-hosted events kick off with a night at Izzy Hops Sip & Nosh with the finale at Sugar Maple. Additional events to highlight include some new and interactive events including: Jukebox Bingo at The Pint, Dance Parties at Falcon Bowl and Boone and Crockett, Drag Bingo at Aftershock, and Battle Karaoke at The Weary Traveller.
