Voodoo Brewing Co. is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Hornick as Director of Operations. Hornick joins the team from Green Bay, where he rose from Quality Control Manager to Head Brewer at Hinterland Brewery, gaining extensive experience in quality assurance and craft brewing leadership.
Hornick’s journey to craft brewing is rooted in a strong academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Originally on track for a career in research science, he decided to transition his laboratory skills and scientific knowledge to the craft beer industry, where he could apply his expertise in a dynamic and creative way.
“My partner and I spent nearly six years in Green Bay, but ultimately decided it was time to move closer to family,” Hornick shared. “We relocated just south of Meadville, where I’d been enjoying Voodoo’s brews since 2009. With family nearby, Voodoo Brewing felt like the perfect fit to continue my career.”
In his new role, Hornick is dedicated to upholding Voodoo’s reputation for intensely flavorful brews. His goals include enhancing both the quality and quantity of production to meet growing demand in Franchise taprooms and the greater distribution market.
“I’m thrilled to join Voodoo Brewing and contribute to a tradition of excellence. This new chapter
is incredibly exciting, and I’m honored to be part of the Voodoo Brewery family,” Hornick said.
