Toledo’s earnest brew works (EBW) is ready to celebrate and will release a limited edition beer in honor of its sixth birthday.Starting Friday, December 2, the South Toledo-based brewery will release Anniversary IPA at both EBW Downtown (25 S. St. Clair) and South Toledo (4342 S. Detroit Ave.) locations in both cans and on draft.
Anniversary IPA is a Hazy India Pale Ale brewed with Citra, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, Idaho 7, Strata and El Dorado hops.
It’s six hops for six years!
“For our sixth anniversary, we formulated this Hazy IPA to include six of our favorite hops and fermented with Cosmic Punch® yeast to increase tropical aromas,” explained Trevor Daniels, production assistant. “The result is a complex bouquet of smells — including mango, pineapple, grapefruit, berry, and white wine.”

The brewery continues to see growth in the Toledo area and plans to open a third location with a new taproom slated to debut in the Westgate area at 3142 West Central Avenue in the first quarter of 2023.
