Cheers to new beginnings! Reuben’s Brews, the award-winning, family brewery founded in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, is thrilled to open the doors to its newest taproom this weekend. An expansive space with a contemporary feel and eye-catching details, the new spot in downtown Seattle showcases the attributes that Reuben’s is best known for: warm hospitality, thoughtfully brewed beers, and a community-driven spirit.

Open daily from 11 a.m.–10 p.m, the new Downtown Taproom officially welcomes the public on Friday, June 13. The grand opening kicks off a weekend-long, all-ages celebration that includes the launch of a seltzer cocktail program, a glassware giveaway, limited edition merch, and the release of Downtown Debut, a fruity IPA brewed just for this festive occasion.

“It still seems like yesterday that Grace and I were opening our original taproom and brewery in an industrial part of Ballard,” says co-founder Adam Robbings. “What pushed us to take the leap into professional brewing at the time were the emails from bars asking about our award-winning homebrews. And now, almost 13 years later, it makes us so happy to be able to serve our beers—along with an expanded food menu—to so many more people in the heart of Seattle.”

Located at 1201 First Avenue, Reuben’s Brews Downtown Seattle Taproom offers something for everyone, including 28 taps of beer, cider, seltzer, and non-alcoholic offerings as well as a menu of beer-friendly American pub fare. New dishes like grilled fish tacos, crispy Brussels sprouts in a sweet chili lime glaze, and funnel straws with a Robust Porter chocolate sauce join familiar favorites like the Emerald City Hot Chicken sandwich, and a vegan Reuben on marbled rye.

Featuring floor to ceiling windows, 220 seats indoors and out, flat screen TVs for Mariners, Seahawks, and Sounders games, a wide variety of canned beer-to-go, and a semi-private room that can be reserved for groups, Reuben’s Brews Downtown Seattle Taproom is a relaxing gathering space for any occasion. And the centerpiece of the new taproom is a large, playful mural depicting the brewing process along with charming scenes from different parts of the city.

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce ourselves to our new neighbors, daily commuters, and Seattle’s many domestic and international visitors,” says co-founder Grace Robbings. “Great beer and food go a long way to building community, and we look forward to building new relationships in an exciting, energetic part of the city that we have called home for years.”

Easy walking distance to the stadium district and steps from the Seattle Art Museum, Pike Place Market, and the city’s waterfront attractions, Reuben’s Brews Downtown is the ideal location for lunch or dinner, a quick drink between activities, or an impromptu gathering of friends and family.
