Migration Collaborates for Creation of Govy 500 IPA

Migration Brewing is thrilled to announce their winter collaboration beer, the Govy 500 IPA. This seasonal beer is a celebration of skiers and snowboarders’ daily race up and down the Mt. Hood highway and pays homage to iconic Government Camp.

Govy 500 IPA is a West Coast IPA that showcases Migration’s innovative brewing techniques and commitment to quality.  With a super simple malt bill of just 2 Row Malt, this beer is a showcase for contemporary American hops.  Leading the way is Azacca in a concentrated pellet form (Cryo) that exhibits bright overripe mango, papaya, and tangerine flavors.  Rounding out the blend is the Idaho7 hop, with its aggressive pineapple flavor and dank, pine notes.

The inspiration behind Govy 500 IPA comes from the lively atmosphere found at Government Camp during winter months when skiers and snowboarders flock to Mount Hood for thrilling skiing and driving adventures. The beer captures this energy with its bold hop profile, delivering modern IPA flavors that will excite the most discerning craft beer enthusiasts.

“We are incredibly excited about this collaboration with the Govy 500,” said Eric Banzer-Lausberg, Migration Brewing Sales Director and Co-Founder.  “Govy 500 IPA represents our passion for brewing exceptional beers while showcasing our love for the mountain community.  We wanted Govy 500 IPA to really capture the spirit of adventure at Mount Hood.” states Banzer-Lausberg.

Govy 500 IPA will be available on draft at select Mt. Hood area locations starting December 1st.  Craft beer lovers can also find it in on draft and in limited edition cans at Migration Brewing’s pub locations and select retailers throughout Oregon.  For more information about Govy 500 IPA and upcoming events, please visit migrationbrewing.com or follow Govy 500 on Instagram @the_govy500
