Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (Iron Hill), the most award-winning brewery east of the Mississippi, will introduce the Lehigh Valley to its craft kitchen and scratch brewery at its newest location at 950 Lehigh Lifestyle Center in Whitehall, PA at the Lehigh Valley Mall. Iron Hill celebrated its opening with a ceremonial First Pour and Ribbon Cutting earlier today. The brewery and restaurant opened its doors to the public on July 13, 2024, at 11 a.m.; this opening marks its 13th location in Pennsylvania and 21st overall for the concept.

Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Happy Hour is offered Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. The new brewery and restaurant, with a seating capacity of up to 400, features an on-site, glass-encased brewery and a variety of seating options ranging from cozy banquets to communal high-tops, as well as a large bar throughout the cocktail area, dining room, and patio. A signature found within each restaurant is the incorporation of local nods to the surrounding area’s history depicted on a larger-than-life mural. The Lehigh Valley mural depicts Musikfest, Bethlehem Steel, SteelStacks, and the quintessential Moravian Star against the ubiquitous Iron proudly represented on all the brand’s murals as tradition. The Whitehall location will bring 100 full and part-time jobs to the Lehigh Valley area.

The on-site brewery, a major part of the Iron Hill brand, is a testament to Iron Hill’s continued commitment to making and serving the freshest award-winning craft beer possible to guests. Similar to all Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurants, it will produce between 800-900 barrels of Iron Hill’s award-winning beer annually, including signatures like Vienna Red Lager, a slightly sweet medium-bodied European amber lager; refreshing seasonals such as Seedless – a bracing, tart fruited sour ale and Lemon Cerveza a refreshing crisp, clean lager bursting with fresh lemon; and a yet-to-be-named IPA for the inaugural Hometown Tap. A successful company-wide program where each Iron Hill offers a custom beer distinctive to each Iron Hill location ensures a unique, hyper-local, and diverse beer experience for local customers. Its current rotating list of signature and seasonal award-winning beer offerings includes Philly Phavorite, Iron Hill Light Lager, Pig Iron Porter, Brambleberry, King’s Gold, and no-alcohol, zero-calorie Hop Water, promising a wide and varied beer selection that caters to every palate. For those under 21, Iron Hill will offer its IHB Draft Root Beer or non-alcoholic Hop-Tails, ranging from the Hop-Jito made with simple syrup and mint to the Hop Lux with marasca cherries and Luxardo syrup. Iron Hill is Pennsylvania proud and offers a selection of wines and craft cocktails made with Keystone state spirits, including Allegro Winery, Folino Estates, Stateside Vodka, Faber Distilling, and Kinsey Whiskey.

Known for its innovative, made-from-scratch cuisine, Iron Hill’s all-day menu breaks down the wall between the kitchen and the brewery with dishes specifically designed to pair with beer, utilize beer as an ingredient or even upcycle ingredients from the brewing process to create new items. Longtime favorites like Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Voodoo Chicken Pizza, Baby Back Ribs, and Drunk Monk Burger are sure to satisfy every craving. Brewery-inspired dishes serve up a depth of flavor, from Fried Calamari with sriracha IPA ranch to Porter Maple Beer-Brined Pork Chops. Vienna Red Lager adds complexity to several dishes, including Beer-Battered Fish & Chips and the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, while the malted barley from the mash in the brewing process is turned into delicious Spent Grain Beer Bread. Healthy and vegetarian selections include dishes like the Left Coast Turkey Burger, Tuscan Vegetable Flatbread and Kennett Square Mushroom Soup to meet dietary and lifestyle preferences while appealing to varied palates.

“We’re thrilled to welcome guests from all over the Lehigh Valley and become a part of this vibrant community that shares a deep appreciation of local ingredients and craft beer,” says Chris Westcott, CEO of Iron Hill. “Opening at the Lehigh Valley Mall was a natural next step as we look to expand deeper into Pennsylvania’s suburbs.”

As part of its commitment to the communities it serves, Iron Hill donates $0.75 from each Triple Chocolate Hill dessert sold to support CureSearch for Children’s Cancer. Iron Hill also offers a GIVE 20 fundraising program, in which local non-profits can receive twenty percent of food sales from every table associated with the organization.
