Highland Celebrates Year of the Wood Snake with Exclusive Collaboration Beer & Lunar New Year Events

Highland Brewing Company proudly announces its Lunar New Year celebration, taking place on January 31 and February 1, featuring two exciting events and special collaboration beer release. This festive occasion honors Lunar New Year traditions and celebrates brewery founder Oscar Wong’s family heritage

To commemorate the Year of the Wood Snake, Highland has teamed up once again with Lucky Envelope Brewing, an Asian-owned brewery based in Seattle on a collaboration brew. Highland’s version of the Honey Amber Lager features local Western North Carolina honey from Hoopers Creek Bee Company. This beer epitomizes dedication to community connections and innovative recipes.

“I’m proud of our connection with Lucky Envelope and the recipes are thoughtful and delicious each year. I’m equally delighted to see the interest in Asian culture, reflected in the flavors and sounds of Lunar New Year as well as the growing number of guests who attend this celebration,” said CEO Leah Ashburn.

This year, Highland welcomes Chef J Chong, creator of J Chong Eats and finalist of The Big Brunch, as our marquee, opening night culinary partner.
