Colorado Brewers Guild Unveils Colorado Pint Day Theme

The Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG), a nonprofit trade organization for independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer, proudly announces the return of the 9th Annual Colorado Pint Day on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. The beloved fundraiser, which $1 of each pint glass sold is donated to the Colorado Brewers Guild, also supports local craft breweries as beer lovers flock to participating member breweries to purchase limited-edition Colorado Pint Day glassware.

The beloved fundraiser is a great way to support local, independent craft beer and the CBG’s mission of promoting, protecting, and propelling its members through advocacy, education, and public awareness.

“Since we launched the promotion in 2016, this statewide event has reached   increased fandom over the years with beer lovers heading to their favorite local craft brewery to collect glassware to add to their collections,” says CBG Communications Manager Carrie Knose Wilson. “Not only is Colorado Pint Day a time-honored tradition but it’s also a big driver of business for local craft breweries during a typically slower season for beer.”

For the third year in a row, the nonprofit trade association hosted an art competition for Guild member brewery creatives. Rhyan Montgomery, a beertender for Ramblebine Brewing Company out of Grand Junction provided the winning design for this year’s theme: Spring Skiing and Pond Skimming.

Born and raised in Colorado, Montgomery graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2019 with a BFA in Art Education. At Ramblebine, Montgomery got into label and packaging design for the brewery and also currently co-owns Black Poppy Studio & Gallery in Downtown Grand Junction. Surrounded by ski resorts on the Grand Mesa, this year’s theme resonated with Montgomery who enjoys watching local ski events and watching how the sport has evolved over the years.

“As a Coloradan, craft beer enthusiast, and artist, winning this contest is a true honor,” says Montgomery. “I have followed Colorado Pint Day for the past few years and collected the glassware, admiring each of the creative designs. Winning this contest was a huge goal of mine that I now regard as one of my highest art related achievements.”

2023 was a record-breaking year for Colorado Pint Day promotion with 215 participating locations selling 29,000 glasses across the state. The event is always held on a Wednesday during the spring which is typically a slower period for breweries.

The list of participating breweries for Colorado Pint Day will be announced at a later time. For more information about Colorado Pint Day, contact Chea Franz at [email protected].
