Bent Paddle Launches The Great Homegrown Beer Scavenger Hunt

Bent Paddle Brewing Co. and the Duluth Homegrown Music Festival are teaming up to announce the inaugural Great Homegrown Beer Scavenger Hunt for the 2023 festival. This exciting event combines elements of a scavenger hunt with the thrill of winning tickets to Bent Paddle’s 10 year anniversary party, Festiversary, on May 20. Including eight days of clues and prizes, this scavenger hunt was made for beer lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Starting from the first day of the Homegrown Music Festival, participants can get outside, explore Duluth, and walk away with a slew of Bent Paddle goodies. Every day from April 30 through May 7, a vintage Bent Paddle tap handle will be hidden somewhere within Duluth city limits. A clue will be posted on the event’s social media pages at 10 am daily, and participants who solve the super special clue and find the tap handle will win two Festiversary tickets and a growler plus fill of their favorite beer. Plus, the tap handle is theirs to keep as a souvenir of their adventure!

“We (Bent Paddle) recently went through an entire brand refresh which includes a brighter logo, new can designs for our flagship brands, and all new tap handles,” noted Laura Mullen. “We have never sold our tap handles and the only way to get one is to find it out in town!”

This scavenger hunt is open to everyone who wants to explore, including families, dogs, and even hedgehogs! If you have already found a tap handle, you can continue to hunt for more, but organizers ask that you leave them for someone else to discover.

“We’re thrilled to that The Great Homegrown Beer Scavenger Hunt is making a debut for the 2023 festival,” said Interim Co-Director, Cory Jezierski, “It’s a great way to discover Duluth’s parks, beers, and hidden gems throughout Duluth while having fun with friends and family.”

To participate, check the event’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/966080137742077)  to receive the daily clue. The hunt starts every day at 10 am sharp and runs each day throughout the festival. All tap handles will be hidden within Duluth city limits. So, make sure to check every tree, bridge, and stone to win big during the 2023 Homegrown!
