Upslope Brewing Releases Additional Winter and Holiday Seasonals

In addition to its Limited Release Christmas Ale, Upslope Brewing Company has released two seasonal beers just in time for the holidays. This winter, fans can enjoy the brewery’s Limited Release Oatmeal Stout as well as the very limited, barrel-aged Lee Hill Series Volume 10: Wild Christmas Ale with Cranberries—which is a variation of Upslope’s popular Christmas Ale.

“These two brews, along with the Christmas Ale, create a flavorful trifecta for the holiday season with a wide range of tastes,” said Upslope’s founder Matt Cutter. “Just like the holidays, these styles come and go quickly, making them easy to celebrate while they’re available.”

Varying each year, the Lee Hill Series’ Wild Christmas Ale is an annual, small-batch, holiday installment that stands alongside the festive Limited Release Christmas Ale. Volume 10 of the Lee Hill Series is similar to the Volume 6 Wild Christmas Ale released last year, though the holiday recipe has cranberries and a slightly longer aging process. The 9-percent ABV sour ale is both naughty and nice, aging for 11 months in Leopold Bros Maryland Style Rye Whiskey barrels and re-fermenting with 500 pounds of cranberries. Candied orange, a touch of oak, and rye whiskey spices open to an assertive cranberry tartness and a light, semi-sweet chocolate finish. As with all Lee Hill Series beers, the Wild Christmas Ale with Cranberries has an extremely limited availability.

In addition, the winter Limited Release Oatmeal Stout emerges this week and is available throughout the winter season. This beer will be distributed throughout Upslope’s six-state footprint and is available in Upslope’s Mix Box or six packs of 12 ounce cans. The 5-percent ABV Oatmeal Stout, brewed with oats, roasted malts and East Kent Golding hops, delivers notes of cocoa, dried fruit and caramel in a smooth, full-bodied, yet sessionable beer.
