AZ Craft Brewers Guild Listed Among ‘2015 Leaders Leaders of the Year in Public Policy’

The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild is among 21 individuals and organizations honored by the Arizona Capitol Times Wednesday, Sept. 30 as part of the publication’s ninth annual “Leaders of the Year in Public Policy” awards ceremony.

The cocktail reception and presentation at the Arizona Biltmore honors those who have improved the community due to their efforts relating to business, economic development, public safety, education, the environment, or arts and humanities, among other areas. The Guild’s inclusion on this year’s list of honorees comes on the heels of another nod from the Capitol Times for “Best Grassroots Campaign,” and is due largely to its legislative and grassroots efforts that led to the passing of SB1030, also known as the “Arizona Beer Bill.” The legislative changes made as a result of the Guild’s efforts give the state’s craft-brewing industry the ability to experience unprecedented growth while effectively competing with other popular craft-beer-producing states across the nation.

“We’re honored to have our efforts recognized by as respected an organization as the Arizona Capitol Times,” said Rob Fullmer, Executive Director of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild. “We’re especially humbled to be included in this list of so many people and organizations we already admire, and to be listed alongside those responsible for making Arizona such a great place to live and work.”

The 21 honorees were chosen by a selection committee made up of members of the Capitol community, while editors of the Arizona News Service also helped with some of the selections. For a complete list of this year’s honorees, visit AZCapitolTimes.com.
