Bay City Adds Multi-Use Event Space to Enable Increased Production

Bay City Brewing Co. announced the official opening of Suite C – the 2,100-square foot multi-use space attached to the brewery’s Point Loma location. With this new addition to its indoor-outdoor tasting room, the local brewery plans to increase production with its first-ever bottling equipment and host more public and private community events.

“The opening of Suite C has turned our brewery into a three-part experience,” says Ben DuBois, co-owner of Bay City Brewing Co. “We have our inviting outdoor patio, a lively indoor tasting room and now a brand new space right next door that opens up a world of possibilities.”

Suite C adds to Bay City’s 4,200 square foot versatile tasting room – rounding out the brewery’s total space to nearly 6,300 square feet. The back half of Suite C will host an array of production equipment, including state-of-the-art bottling machines, while the front half of the space will play host to a variety of events, ranging from wedding receptions and holiday parties to comedy nights and private tastings.

The addition of Suite C expands Bay City Brewing Co.’s footprint in the Midway District – a growing region of Point Loma, home to several popular restaurants, coffee joints and retail shops. According to DuBois and co-owner Greg Anderson, the community has the ingredients to become a hidden hotspot for craft beverages.

“We’re watching the area around Bay City Brewing Co. transform into an ideal spot for craft breweries because of the proximity to the highway and the Sports Arena area,” says Anderson. “With Modern Times as our neighbor, we envision the area as an appealing place for other local breweries – creating an unanticipated and slightly secret craft beer experience in Point Loma.”
