Malteurop North America unveils new Craft Master Malt product line for Craft Brewers

Malteurop North America, a leading supplier of premium quality malt for the brewing industry, announced today the release of its new product line brand, Craft Master Malt. The new line of premium quality kiln-dried specialty malts extends Malteurop North America’s offering to satisfy the distinctive malt needs of craft brewers throughout North America.

“We have developed the product line with the craft brewer in mind and want to be able to continue to better serve this market, capitalizing on the rich history of the Malteurop global organization,” explained Kurt Seagrist, President and CEO of Malteurop North America.

The Craft Master Malt product offering comes backed with Malteurop’s reputation for superior quality and leverages the knowledge and experience of the company’s qualified technical experts — including the only Diplomaed Maltster in the United States.

“Craft brewers are artisans; they’re always looking for new ingredients to incorporate into their beer. Our Craft Master Specialty Malt products were developed to fulfill that need and enable our craft brewing partners to bring new, truly unique beers to market,” explained Mary-Jane Maurice, Director of Quality Assurance for Malteurop North America and a Diplomaed Maltster with Distinction by the Maltsters’ Association of Great Britain.

Malteurop North America’s established Grain Origination partnership connects them with growers to offer craft brewers the opportunity to create their vision using barley from some of the most fertile growing regions in North America. In addition, Barley Days is an educational program offering for Malteurop North America’s craft brewing partners. The program is a unique experience that brings craft brewers into the fields to learn about barley growing from partnered farmers and further understand Malteurop North America’s breeding program. Malteurop North America is the only malster in North America with an exclusive barley breeding program.

“We want to forge close relationships with craft brewers and be thought of as more than just a malt supplier. We want to be a partner and resource to them—connecting them with our growers and technical experts so they can be part of the malting process which begins in the field,” Seagrist added.

Milwaukee-based Malteurop North America differentiates itself by its involvement and expertise throughout the malt supply chain—from grain origination to malt manufacturing and distribution—connecting craft brewers directly with barley growers, and creating and delivering premium specialty malt that enables craft brewers to uniquely distinguish their beer.

In addition to the Craft Master malts, Malteurop North America has entered into an agreement with The Swaen, a leading maltster based in the Netherlands. Beginning later this year, Malteurop North America will market The Swaen’s premium quality roasted specialty malts as a complement to its Craft Master line of kiln-dried specialty malts.

“Malteurop North America has a proven track record of supplying malt to North American craft brewers. We’re excited about our relationship with the Craft Master team. The Swaen products fit well within their great portfolio of malts,” said Andries de Groen Jr, Co-Owner of The Swaen.
